Boarding/ Grooming Attendant
Job Description
A boarding attendant with Mitten's Pets is the loving face that our boarding cats see and interact with! This job requires a strong passion for cats, patience and care, and attentiveness. Above all else, this job requires consistency. Without you, the enrichment of our kitty boarders drastically changes. This job is an "as needed" position for the morning and afternoon. Best fit for someone looking for supplementary income. Cross training with our groomer/ administrative assistant for reception duties and assisting with groomer as needed.

Objectives of this Role
- Serve as the front line of defense for the cats in our boarding facility
- Establish relationship and trust with our boarding pets
- Staying current in pet first aid knowledge
- Overseeing the health and safety of our boarding cats
- Concise communication of any health, behavioral, or comfort concerns of pets in our care.
- Communication with administrative assistant on any supplies needed.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Provide morning and evening feedings.
- Provide enrichment time for our boarders.
- Daily cleaning/refreshing of litter and water.
- Cleaning the individual boarding suites and boarding facility.
- Sending daily, updated report cards to our pet parents.
Skills and Qualifications
- Love and knowledge of cats
- Excellent track record of reliability
- Attention to cleanliness and detail
- People and pet person! We work with humans too!
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pet handling experience
- Previous experience handling difficult pets
