Cat Grooming Release
Because we care about your pet's safety and well-being, we want to assure you that every effort will be made by the grooming salon to make your cat’s visit as pleasant as possible.
Due to the intimate nature of the grooming process—and a pet's individual tolerance for stress, unfamiliar people, or handling—cats may become anxious or reactive during grooming. Additionally, grooming may expose a hidden medical issue or aggravate an existing one. This can occur during or after the grooming appointment. Mitten's Pets is not responsible for underlying or previously unknown medical conditions that may be revealed during grooming.
If we determine that continuing the grooming service would pose a risk to your cat’s emotional or physical well-being, or to the safety of the groomer, we will discontinue the service and contact you immediately.
You authorize Mitten’s Pets to obtain immediate veterinary care should it become necessary. All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the pet owner.
You authorize Mitten’s Pets to contact your veterinarian before, during, or after an appointment regarding medical or behavioral concerns, questions, or follow-up care.
You grant Mitten’s Pets permission to utilize proper restraint and handling techniques to ensure the health and safety of both your cat and the grooming provider. You understand and agree that if the establishment deems it unsafe or unhealthy to continue grooming, the service will be stopped and you will be responsible for any services already rendered.

Senior Cats
Senior cats ten years and older require written veterinary approval prior to scheduling an appointment. Grooming can exacerbate medical conditions, and it may be especially difficult for older cats—particularly those being groomed for the first time. For this reason, we strongly encourage starting professional grooming during kittenhood.

Vaccinations
All cats must be up to date on their rabies vaccination, administered at least one week prior to grooming. A physical copy of the 1-year or 3-year rabies certificate is required. Please email the form to us or upload it through your pet parent portal.

Transportation
All cats must enter the salon in a secure cat carrier. Households with multiple cats must bring each cat in its own individual carrier. This reduces stress when cats are removed from or returned to their carriers after grooming.
If a cat arrives without a carrier, a cardboard carrier will be provided at the owner’s expense.

DEPOSITS/CANCELLATION
Bath Club Appointments
• No deposit required.
Seasonal Appointments
• A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required.
• Cancellations must be submitted by email or through direct communication with a team member at least 48 hours prior to the appointment to avoid forfeiting the deposit.
• If the deposit is forfeited, a new deposit will be required to reschedule.

• A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required.

Late Arrivals
Please arrive on time for your appointment. A late fee of $1.50 per minute will be added when a pet is not available at the scheduled start time.
Our time—and the reserved time for other clients—is equally important. Excessive lateness may be marked as a no-show, and the appointment may be cancelled.

Pickup times
Pet parents must pick up their cats no later than 30 minutes after being notified that the groom is complete.

Refunds
All services are nonrefundable.
If you are dissatisfied with the service, please notify the grooming salon before leaving the premises so we can address the concern promptly.

Your cat is adorable and helps us educate and connect with other pet parents! Mitten’s Pets may take photos or videos for social media and educational use.
